Oberth Systems LLC ("Oberth Systems," "we," "us," or "our") operates a customer-care SMS program for people who place a phone call to our published business phone number about our products and services. When an inbound call is not answered live, an automated voice prompt invites the caller to press 1 to receive follow-up text messages about their inquiry. Further messages are sent only to callers who opt in by pressing 1 during that call. The program is strictly customer-care and informational. No marketing or promotional messages are sent.
Opt-in is captured by a keypress during a phone call that you place to Oberth Systems. When you call our published business number and the call is not answered live, before voicemail you will hear an automated prompt that says, in substance: "You've reached Oberth Systems. We can't take your call right now. To receive follow-up text messages about your inquiry, press 1 now. Message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply. Otherwise, leave a voicemail after the beep." You are added to the messaging list only if you press 1. If you do not press 1, whether you hang up, press another key, or leave a voicemail, you receive no text messages. Immediately after you press 1, we send a one-time confirmation text that reads, in substance: "Oberth Systems: You're confirmed. We'll send follow-up text messages about your call. Msg frequency varies. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Terms: https://oberthsystems.com/sms-terms/".
Each press-1 opt-in is recorded as the caller's affirmative consent, together with the caller's phone number, the identifier of the call during which the caller pressed 1, the digit pressed, and the date and time. This record is retained as documentation of the caller's opt-in. A caller may withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to any message from us.
